Before you came

— What was there when I was not here?

There was a world, and we rotated it together with Daddy.
And then we missed you. We took herbs, we took sand from the seashore of mum’s childhood, we took the fragrance of the blossoming garden and the heavy hum of bumblebees gathering honey. We took the wind, and the waves with white corollas, and the firmness of the earth under their feet, and the rustling of the crowns — there, at the very tops.
And took salt, and took bread, and wine, and fire.
And called you.

And you became.
