Exhibition at Griffin Museum of Photographу

October 13 2026 — January 1 2027
Griffin Museum of Photography, USA

Online group exhibition Intertidal: Field Notes will include my work from AUT SPLASH, an autobiographical project about late-diagnosed autism, sensory overload and autistic joy.

As an autistic person, I experience the sea as home, which led me to move to the coast. Mermaid legends resonate with autistic experience: a body that feels out of place on land, yet finds belonging, sensory relief and freedom beneath the surface. The figure represents transformation, belonging and a longing for freedom from the emotional and physical weight of life on land. The handwritten words connect the figure to an internal monologue, by giving form to spells that act as intermediaries between the physical and the immaterial.

You can see the whole exhibition with a curatorial text here.

Runs from October 13, 2026 till January 1, 2027
